Ceramic Paint Protection Sunshine Coast

Ceramic paint protection is a durable liquid coating applied to your vehicle’s exterior paintwork. Once applied, it bonds to the factory clear coat and creates a strong protective layer that helps shield the paint from UV rays, dirt, grime and everyday environmental contaminants.

Long-lasting protection for your vehicle’s paint.

At DT Rustproofing in Maroochydore, we offer professional ceramic paint protection for Sunshine Coast vehicles exposed to coastal air, sun, rain, road grime and regular outdoor use.

Why choose ceramic paint protection?

Unlike traditional waxes and sealants, ceramic coatings are designed to last for years rather than months. The coating forms a smooth, protective layer that helps keep your vehicle looking cleaner, glossier and easier to maintain.

Ceramic paint protection can help protect against:
  • UV damage and fading
  • Bird droppings
  • Tree sap
  • Bug residue
  • Road grime
  • Tar
  • Dirt and contaminants
  • Light surface marking

It also enhances gloss and colour depth, giving your vehicle a cleaner, slicker finish.

Key benefits of ceramic coating

Long-lasting durability

Ceramic paint protection forms a strong bond with the paint surface, offering longer-lasting protection than standard waxes or short-term sealants.

Easier washing and maintenance

The smooth, hydrophobic surface helps water, dirt and grime bead and roll off the paintwork. This makes regular washing quicker and helps keep the vehicle cleaner between washes.

Protection from Sunshine Coast conditions

Vehicles on the Sunshine Coast are regularly exposed to UV, salt air, rain, tree sap, road grime and beach conditions. Ceramic protection adds a durable barrier to help reduce the impact of these elements.

Improved gloss and appearance

Ceramic coatings enhance the depth, shine and slickness of your vehicle’s paint, helping maintain a polished look for longer.

How ceramic paint protection works

Surface preparation

Before applying the coating, the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Older vehicles may require paint restoration or machine polishing first to improve the finish before protection is applied.

Ceramic coating application

A liquid coating containing Silicon Dioxide, also known as SiO₂, is carefully applied to the exterior paintwork.

Bonding and curing

The coating bonds to the factory clear coat and cures into a hard protective layer. Full chemical curing generally takes approximately one week.

Professional application matters

DIY ceramic coatings are available, but professional preparation and application usually deliver a better finish, stronger bonding and longer-lasting results.

At DT Rustproofing, we take the time to prepare the surface properly so the coating can perform as intended.

Ceramic paint protection prices

Our ceramic paint protection starts from $880 including GST.
For vehicles two years or older, or vehicles that need correction before coating, paint restoration may be required before ceramic protection is applied.

Paint restoration before ceramic from $250 including GST.
